I wanted to share all about the good ole American Thanksgiving by teaching the Korean kids how to make construction paper turkeys. They all had a wonderful time and enjoyed making their own types of turkeys. I also explained to them about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. The were interested to know how it all started even with their limited English understanding.
Sometimes as an English teacher in Korea teaching in a Hagwon, you just got to mix up the curriculum. Doing projects like these can greatly take off some tention and gain the childrens intrest and trust.
I've decided to do something like this once a month to make the kids actively engaged.
